Adobe Illustrator can be a really fun program to play around with - especially for those of us who like to draw. It can be rewarding to see something go from pencil to digital. While this article is in the tutorials category, it really is not a tutorial. It is more of a “be inspired and play around” concept for those creatives out there who have yet to do so. You never know. You might be able to make a pretty penny on the different stock sites out there.
This Is Not A Tutorial
Regardless, we are going to quickly list how we put together these colorful waves (or whatever you want to call them). Honestly, the list is quite short:
- 1. Draw something on a regular old sheet of paper and scan it onto your computer.
- 2. Bring that scan into Illustrator and start tracing over your drawing. Drawing tablets add bonus points. But if you have a drawing tablet, you probably do not need this article for inspiration.
- 3. Play around with colors, line strokes, etc. There are no rules.
